Freight Coordinator & Product Planner

Ready for a new career opportunity? Andex is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team!  The Freight Coordinator & Combination Run Planner has two responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate customer shipments and supervise the outbound shipping process for Andex and our customers.
  2. Plan, coordinate, and organize the customer Combination Run orders.

A day in life would include:

Coordinate & Mange Freight Shipments:

  • Identify the best method of shipment based on cost, carrier reliability, and transit time.
  • Resolve billing claims including weight, dimension, classification, and address.
  • Complete customs/NAFTA documentation and gain topic expertise.
  • When urgent shipping matters occur recommend solutions and take action as authorized.
  • Develop working relationships with key contacts and investigate new carriers.
  • Professionally and assertively negotiate best rates and maximize carrier support.
  • Develop progressive solutions to improve the workflow, communication, productivity, and cost management of outbound shipping.

Product Planning: The Andex Combination Run program is a key product that efficiently produces packaging for customers nationwide. Planning includes:

  • Plan the product manufacturing of customer orders are they area received.
  • Monitor manufacturing capacity based on the received and pending orders
  • Complete the manufacturing plan with accuracy and release for production.
  • Plan the future production run dates and quantities in coordination with Sales and the Division Managers.
  • Review job costs, revenue, and profit/loss reports for improvement.

The Setting & Benefits:
The position is full time. Monday through Friday standard office hours with a willingness and ability to work additional hours as required. You will enjoy working with our team who are dedicated to servicing our customers located nationwide.

The qualifications include, but are not limited too, the following:

  • Related college degree or coursework preferred. High School diploma required.
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Experience using Windows-based software and Microsoft Excel & Word.
  • Experience with business software systems is a plus.
  • Work in a team based environment with the ability to multi task in coordination with multiple staff.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Effectively communicate business matters via emails, reports, and memos.
  • Two years’ experience with related demonstrated skills, responsibilities, and initiative.
  • Possess a valid State of Michigan driver’s license with clear driving record.

Account Representative

Interim General Laborers

The Interim General Laborer will participate in production flow activities of the Andex Industries Thermoforming and Printing Divisions. The Interim General Laborers will participate in a multitude of tasks, depending on the production scheduling and shipping deadlines. The individual will experience manufacturing production and shipping situations and offer critical support to the team.

Job Duties include but are not limited to: general floor help, product staging, line work, precision detail production, quality checks and shipping preparation.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of a High School Diploma or Equivalent; College a plus
  • 2-5 years related manufacturing work experience
  • Excellent Customer Service & Communication Skills
  • Detail oriented with a focus on quality
  • High energy, self managed team player with positive work ethic

CAD Tooling Coordinator

Great position for a motivated person with some CAD experience or aptitude!  If you are ready to utilize your creative talents and be responsible for a Program/Product Line you are at the right place. The Andex CAD Tooling Coordinator is part of our Engineering Design Department and requires a person who takes pride in ownership in a constantly changing environment.  The position is self managed, challenging and rewarding as you work along with our engineering, sales and production team.

This position will successfully execute and manage an entire product line. Exposure to CAD/CAM, manufacturing and CNC machining is an advantage in this capacity. The CAD Tooling Coordinator is responsible for, and should possess the following attributes:

  • Product Line Administration & Package Design Coordination
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills
  • Resourceful Solutions Provider, with a focus on Visual Spatial Details
  • Detailed knowledge of product lines and packaging solutions, a plus
